Longevity, finally?

I have to admit, one of the things about COLD TO THE TOUCH I'm most looking forward to is having a book in print again. When BENEATH THE SURFACE went under (so to speak) I'd only had five or six weeks to enjoy the sensation. It may not be much, and my life will undoubtedly remain the same, but just knowing that people will be able to buy this book for a longer period of time is a nice feeling. In a year, if someone reads my contribution to THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF BEST NEW HORROR #20 and decides that he or should would like to read some more... well, there's somewhere to go now. That's reassuring, and makes me feel a bit closer to being the kind of writer I'd like to be.
